I've been PC-less the last 2 weeks, this put me behind on a couple of projects but allowed me to get ahead on a few more, so it all balances out in the end. Attached are 2 new pieces that will hopefully be available at gallery 696 sometime soon.

Lonely Monsters Update

As of...now...Lonely Monsters is officially switching away from being a quarterly comic series and will instead be continued as a series of larger graphic novels. This is for a number of reasons most of which are far too boring to recount in a blog.

Lonely Monsters - Book One will be released in July/August this year.

See the post below this for a picture of another book that will be released between now and then. Also, keep your eyes on www.cafepress.com/lonelymonsters for some new t-shirts and journals to be added next week, plus 696 Gallery on Sydney Road in Brunswick continue to stock a range of Lonely Monsters merchandise (as well as a few random zombie-free pieces of art by yours truly).

Lonely Monsters Volume 1.2 is picking up steam and taking on a life of its own, should have some pages to post soon. I've got some new prints in the works which will be available soon so watch this space.

WHAT'S NEXT?

2007 is drawing to a close, and it's been a pretty chaotic year. I spent a good chunk of time working on someone elses project which hit a wall, the negatives of which have been left behind, and the positive results being a more refined approach to my art and a stronger focus on getting my own projects out into the world.

December saw the release of the first issue of my first project "Lonely Monsters", an ongoing comic series with a planned 5 year run. While getting LM off the ground I also did some DVD and set design work for Surface Tension's "EXIT" project (keep your eyes peeled for more info on that, the concept and the people behind it are all amazing). I'll be doing storyboard work with them in 2008 while continuing to release Lonely Monsters on a regular basis, along with a range of prints, t-shirts, and much more.

So to the people reading this who have encouraged and inspired me....thank you!

To those that did the opposite....thank you also, as sometimes the best lessons in life are learnt by watching others do the wrong thing ;-)
